Each night, in the hours between supper and bedtime, the Tear Thief carries her waterproof sack over her shoulder as she soundlessly steals the tears of every child who cries. But what does she do with all of those tears? And why are the tears of real sadness the most special of all?
Inspired by the Tear Thief, Year 3 wrote letters to other year groups to express the importance of crying ‘pure, quality’ tears. Look at some of the wonderful writing from 3EF.
3G were also very proud of the letters they wrote to other classes.
3EF produced this eye-catching display of their writing.
'The Pied Piper of Hamelin'
The fable of the mysterious piper who comes to Hamelin to rid the town of rats; a modern version of the classic tale.
To help us empathise with the characters in The Pied Piper, 3G created a freeze frame to show
our reactions if we spotted a rat in our kitchen!
"THERE'S A RAT!!!!!!"
The Pied Piper inspired Year 3 to write their own versions of the story. They should feel very proud.
