Many thanks to all who attended the ‘information evening’ in the school hall this week. We hope it was informative and has given you an idea of what we are aiming for. If you were unable to attend the meeting please feel free to look through the attached powerpoint which was shown on the evening. We must stress, as we did in the meeting, that as this is a ‘first’ for LJS, what you read in the powerpoint is what we would like to achieve and, at the moment, nothing is confirmed or booked. Space Doom – Think Tank
In Summer Term 1, Year 5 children will be studying the Earth, Sun and Moon as their Science topic. This always proves to be an exciting couple of weeks as children learn lots about the wonders of space. The Year 5 team have organised for Thinktank, from Birmingham Science Museum, to visit the school on Tuesday 14th May 2013. We are excited about Thinktank’s ‘Outreach Team’ attending Longlevens Junior School, for the second year running, as they will be bringing their portable Space Dome with them to allow children to ‘explore’ the Earth, Sun and Moon.
